Grand Rogue Campgrounds - More than just a place to park

*For 35 + years we feel GRAND ROGUE CAMPGROUND has been one of West Michigan’s camping vacation standards. Since we are the closest campground to GRAND RAPIDS we have met visitors from across the country, around the world and from our back yard. Many of our guests know that this has been a family affair and that the park does not belong to us -- Tom and Joan Briggs -- it belongs to the family estate and we have simply been caretaking it for the family.

*It has been for sale for a while and now we have a serious suitor in Plainfield Charter Township. They have been approved for a grant from the State of Michigan for the procurement of the property.  It is not a done deal but all parties concerned feel it would be a good fit as an addition to the Township park system.  They would like to link the property to the Grand Isle Park next door along with their trail system including the White Pine Trail and use it as a base for many recreational opportunities including probably camping.  At this point they are working through their due diligence and the miles of red tape required by government entities to transfer ownership. We are very happy about the possibilities but if everything moves along perfectly it will be later into 2018 before the property changes hands.

*Because of uncertainty about future operations and uses for the property, we are currently not taking reservations for the 2018 season.  The township is not certain yet - and by rules of the grant processes - are not allowed to work on a timeline schedule of what they want to do, until the sale is confirmed.

If we can help you with options, let us know and we will try to give you some assistance.
